Dr. Jill Trinacty

 

 

Dr. Trinacty is originally from Nova Scotia, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree at Saint Francis Xavier University in Antigonish.  She completed her medical degree at Dalhousie University in 2013.  Dr. Trinacty moved to Ottawa, Ontario for residency in Internal Medicine and specialization in Endocrinology and Metabolism at The Ottawa Hospital
Dr. Trinacty was Chief Resident for the University of Ottawa Endocrinology and Metabolism program during her final year of training. She was recognized for her patient advocacy as the recipient of the Diabetes Canada Resident Award for Advocacy & Leadership, as well as the CANMEDs Health Advocate Award
Dr. Trinacty has delivered numerous oral presentations at various conferences including the Diabetes Canada and Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism conferences, and the Canadian Obesity Summit. She is presently a lecturer at the University of Ottawa and provides ongoing medical education through speaking engagements for other health care professionals including family physicians, diabetes educators and pharmacists.  She also serves as Vice Chair of the Endocrinology Section for the OMA.
