Dr. Yale is professor of endocrinology at McGill University, and endocrinologist at the McGill University Health Centre and at LMC Endocrinology and Metabolism Clinics. Dr Yale chaired the Clinical and Scientific Section of the CDA from 1992-1994. He chaired the Expert Committee that published the 2001 Canadian Diabetes Association Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Prevention and Management of Hypoglycemia in Diabetes. He is a member of the Steering Committee for the Canadian Diabetes Association Clinical Practice Guidelines since 1995. His research interests (281 publications) include the prevention of hypoglycemia in type 1 diabetes, intensive management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and he participated in numerous multicentre trials on new therapies for type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
