Dr. Akshay Jain

Dr. Akshay Jain trained in Internal Medicine at Rochester, New York, where he became the only 4-time winner of the prestigious Rochester Academy of Medicine Award during residency. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Endocrinology at Harbor UCLA and City of Hope National Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He holds the distinction of being the youngest physician to sit on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the American College of Endocrinology.

He is dual board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both: Endocrinology and Internal Medicine.

He also holds specialist certifications in bone densitometry/ osteoporosis and in thyroid/ neck ultrasonography, including ultrasound-guided biopsy techniques.

Dr. Jain is a member of numerous medical associations including the American Thyroid Association, Endocrine Society, American Diabetes Association, American College of Physicians and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, of which he is also an active committee member.

His research and clinical interests include Diabetes, Thyroid disorders including cancer, Obesity, Osteoporosis, Pituitary disorders, Adrenal dysfunction, Pregnancy-related endocrine conditions and Cholesterol treatment.

An avid alpine sports and nature enthusiast, Dr. Akshay Jain is committed to improving the provision of Endocrinology related health care in the Calgary community.
